11/10/09 Made Me a Stronger Person
11/10/09 made me a stronger person.

13 years ago today was when I picked up that phone call.  I was at work and somehow I processed the words being told to me: "you have cancer".  I was practically still a child then, but in those seconds life changed drastically.

I'm still working on getting stronger --- mind & body-- every day.  I deserve that. God is leading me.

A little miracle from last year that still blows me away. Every year I bake myself a ribbon cake to celebrate this day and how far I've come. Last year, I was traveling so I was sad that my cake would be postponed until I got home.  God had a different plan though. I decided to treat myself to a dinner date for one.  I chose Mod Pizza. I about fell over when I got to the cash register and saw the limited time dessert option of a pink dessert, with pink sprinkles. Almost exactly what I would have made myself at home.

Today is a snow day for Brielle (virtual learning day) -- even though we didn't get any snow. So Brielle was my little cake baker today.

The pics here, are of a board Brian made for me years ago.  I love it! Each year I add a ribbon to represent one more year of strength.

Tonight we ate cake, smiled and laughed. 🥰💞  Thank you for baking and decorating a delicious cake for me, Brielle.

Today, I took time to think about the highs and lows I've experienced on this day over the past 13 years. What a journey it continues to be.

I challenge you to look for the sprinkling of miracles in your life today. I promise, if you're open to them you'll find them.  What's a recent miracle you've experienced? Share in the comments please!

You are so gifted; your words are such a gift to many including me — your Mom — admirer from day one!
Can’t wait to see your book in ink too!
    Great job!
