Sheesh! It’s been 2 months since I last published a post. So much has happened!
In my last blog post, I shared that I was coming out of a Hard season. I was honest in sharing that: “I felt like I lost myself. The daily habits that had become routine were broken because my days looked different.”
I ended the post by declaring:
It’s good to be back!
I know my purpose and passion is to serve and inspire others to heal and grow. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am so very grateful to connect with you in this way.
This is what it can look like when we acknowledge our feelings. And when we’re honest with ourselves about the gap between where we currently are and where we’d like to be.
Podcast Guest
In late September, I was asked if I would be open to being a guest on the OK Tire Podcast. They were looking for a breast cancer survivor to share their personal story to coincide with their October campaign to raise money for the Sanford Cancer Center.
I immediately felt a pull that I was supposed to say “OK” to this. And I was also terrified.
I committed anyway.
Then, I searched the podcast to find that it was also a video recording style. Oh yeah, and past episodes were over an hour long. GULP! But I had committed in my heart already, so I was moving forward.
The podcast interview was an amazing experience for me. The host Alyson, and the podcast producer Sam, did such a great job with making me feel comfortable throughout the entire process.
In this podcast, it felt like I shared just about anything and everything about my life journey after my initial diagnosis of cancer at the age of 27.

Masterclass
One thing that I shared on the podcast, was that I had been working on creating a Masterclass and Course to teach the ABC to FGH Method that I created to help guide me through my Hard times.
This has been something on my heart for a long time, but I kept putting it off. I wasn’t answering “the call”. Some of my unease this summer came from not being connected to my life mission of serving and inspiring others to heal and grow. In many ways, this summer helped me to know that the creation of my virtual course was something I wanted to focus on next.
Once this fall season came, I started working more on the course.
Then I found myself pulling away, again. I started over-analyzing if it would be good enough, if the timing was right, if, if, if….
Then I remembered the truth.
The truth is that this has been on my heart for a long time. The trust is that I wanted to keep my integrity to myself; that I committed to helping others through their Hard times in this way.
It was time to let go of my fear and ego and take action.
With that, I took the leap of locking in a date on the calendar to host a FREE Masterclass via Zoom.
It was honestly, terrifying. What would people think? Could I provide real value in just a 20-minute Zoom training? Would people see the authentic me and my heart?
But, I shared about my Masterclass anyway, terrified and all.
I knew that avoiding taking action would just continue to eat away at me.
My heart was full as I saw the names of those who registered start rolling in. Then came the responses after I hosted the Masterclass:
- Thank you so much for sharing your method and helping so many of us who are struggling.
- Your method shows just how simple helping yourself could be if you stop fighting things.
- Your own journey and wisdom and personal testimony is amazing and your outreach to help others goes way beyond that person alone, it positively affects not only their entire lives but everyone they meet.

My feelings of alignment, energy, and empowerment are hard to put into words.
I want everyone to feel this way as they navigate through their own hard times.
BETA Course
I knew I wasn’t going to stop with the one Free Masterclass. The dream in my heart is bigger than that. And that’s why I announced my 6 Week BETA Course:
From Hard Times to Beautiful Life: The ABC to FGH Method
-- Beginning Sunday November 16
In this course, we’ll dive deep into the Method I taught within the Masterclass. This is the Method I created myself to help guide me through my hard times.
My hard times include (but are not limited to):
- A challenging bedtime routine with my daughter
- A Hard season when I feel like I’m in a “funk”
- A death of a loved one
- Living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer
The course will include weekly live trainings with me (recorded replays will be available).

Reflections From Janell
Just like announcing my Masterclass was terrifying, this course announcement initially felt terrifying too. I don’t have the entire course built. I will be creating it alongside of the BETA members.
The old me could have never agreed to this type of system. I would have first needed to learn and know all the moving parts. I would have had to have all the content and visuals and worksheets created.
But, what I’m learning is that when you live from that type of space (fear, perfection, security at all costs) -- you lack energy, alignment, and empowerment. You stay stuck.
So this is truly me, practicing what I’m preaching -- practicing my Method with everyone who is ready to shift where they are in their hard times of life.
This is what Faith, Gratitude, and Hope can look like.
This is part of my Method.
But before we can jump to Faith, Gratitude, Hope (FGH) -- it’s important to remember the alphabet starts with ABC. That’s where we’ll start with the course.
So, if you’re like me and you are READY to end 2025 with healing, strength, and empowerment— I invite you to join us for the 6 Week Course. We’ll be starting next week, so get signed up today!
The momentum I’m feeling is magical! And I want you to be part of it, too.
Thank you for walking with me as I continue to live out my life mission (my calling) to serve and inspire others to heal and grow.
Thank you for allowing me to be a glimmer of Beauty in your Hard times.
I am always ready to connect! Please reach out if you have any questions or if you just want to chat. If something stood out to you in all my ramblings here, I’d love to hear that too!
May you find glimmers of Beauty, even through your Hard times.
